Fort Salonga is a historic North Shore hamlet on Long Island, named for a British Revolutionary War fort known as Fort Slongo. Once called Fresh Pond, the community grew through farming, brickmaking, and waterfront trade.
Beverly Beach Association
The Beverly Beach Association was incorporated in 1948 as a neighborhood beach association serving residents of the Beverly Beach section of Fort Salonga. The association was created to preserve and manage private, deeded access to Long Island Sound for property owners within the community. Since its founding, it has maintained the beach, shoreline access, and common interests of neighborhood residents while fostering a strong sense of community through meetings, volunteer efforts, and local events. Over the decades, Beverly Beach has remained one of Fort Salonga’s distinctive waterfront enclaves, with the association continuing its original mission of protecting and maintaining this shared coastal resource for future generations.
